If you’re searching for the best hotels in Pattaya with a private beach, then you’ve come to the right place.
Pattaya has a pretty big reputation for being a well-known seedy grimespot.
And although that reputation is sort of justified, it’s not the full story.
Beyond all the questionable bars and even-more-questionable bar-hoppers, Pattaya also offers outdoor action, island-tripping, family-friendly stuff, decent bike rides, and some surprising slices of luxury and peace.
So, in honor of that last one, we’ve brought you the 13 best hotels in Pattaya with private beaches.
🥇 My #1 overall recommendation is the Monttra, but I’ve included more detail on that (and 12 more hotels!) below.
Slip into your swimsuit and come join the fun!
1. The Monttra Pattaya
Wanna feel like you’re slumbering in a jungle?
This place is one of the most relaxing and scenic on our list. It’s quiet and cozy, the views are great, and it’s more like an outdoor retreat than a standard hotel. It offers a small but pretty pool, some garden areas, and lots of smiley staff.
The private beach is one of the best in the city—you get a rocky stretch and a sandy stretch, and they’re right out the back of the hotel.
You also get massages, spa treatments, and glass-fronted eating areas. Oh, and every room has a Nespresso machine—a nice little perk.
- Best for: Mainly couples—but anyone who wants peace in Pattaya
- Location: Pattaya South
- Stars: 4
- Price range: $$$
- Airport shuttle? No
- Pet-friendly? No
- Spa? Yes
- Jacuzzi? No
- Pool(s)? Yes
🗨️ Guest review: “The staff and services are great, so helpful, very nice and kind people. Great experience. The location is good 10min from Pattaya Central with a tuk-tuk. You can watch the squirrels playing while sipping your morning coffee or afternoon cocktails. Exceptional sea view. Watching the sunset is a big bonus!” — Ilyas, Australia

2. InterContinental Pattaya Resort
Served up by InterContinental, this luxury-fest looks like the sort of place you’d find on a private island. Tucked away in a bunch of trees, it feels remote and rural, but it’s right beside most of the famous stuff.
Perks include comfy beds, friendly staff, in-room coffee machines, beachy panoramas, view-filled terraces, flavor-packed on-site restaurants, relaxing gardens, 2 pools, some kid-friendly stuff, and more fancy flourishes than most other hotels on the planet.
The rocky private beach isn’t very swimmable, but it’s pretty and peaceful, and it’s a lovely place to laze about.
Oh, and because this hotel is right beside Bali Hai Pier, it’s in an ideal location for day-tripping (or night-tripping, more on that later) to nearby Koh Larn island.
- Best for: Romantic-break couples, and families with some extra cash
- Location: Right beside Bali Hai Pier
- Stars: 5
- Price range: $$$
- Airport shuttle? Yes
- Pet-friendly? No
- Spa? Yes
- Jacuzzi? No
- Pool(s)? Yes
🗨️ Guest review: “Oh… What didn’t we like? This was the stay we didn’t wanted to end! We are grateful to the staff for an amazing experience & helpfulness. The resort itself is a gem… The teritory is magical – full of various plants, flowers, it is so cozy to walk in the evenings. The pools are great, not very big, but surrounded all the greenery & are kind of curvy. The very good shape of the main pool creates privacy because of it & you’re not disturbed by other guests. We traveled as a couple, so it was perfect choice for us – very romantic, very calm.” — Redvita, Lithuania
3. Royal Cliff Beach Hotel
Vaguely south of the InterContinental, this is just as luxurious as its nearby neighbor.
Some rooms offer floor-to-ceiling glass walls (perfect for sunny sea views), while other high-end perks include infinity pools, in-pool bars, 11 on-site munching options, spa services, cookery classes, fancy suites, a massive (and tasty) buffet breakfast, on-site massages, and loads more.
Because of all the sleek elegance, this place would be a good choice for a romantic break.
The only real downfall is that the narrow private beach isn’t great. You can’t swim or walk in it… but if you just like nice views and relaxing vibes, you’ll think it’s alright.
- Best for: Romantic breaks and honeymooning couples
- Location: Just west of Bali Hai Pier
- Stars: 5
- Price range: $$$
- Airport shuttle? Yes
- Pet-friendly? No
- Spa? Yes
- Jacuzzi? In one of the bedrooms
- Pool(s)? Yes
🗨️ Guest review: “The pool was amazing, the view from the pool was equally amazing, the hotel lobby and eating areas were very tidy and clean and the food was scrumptious. The staff on reception and concierge were very helpful and polite and nothing was too much trouble.” — Bill, United Kingdom
4. Cape Dara Resort
At the northern end of Pattaya Beach, Cape Dara Resort is one of the most contemporary entries on our list. It looks a bit like an art gallery, rather than a place to snooze and slumber.
But despite all that, it’s a little less pretentious than most other places we’ve featured. So if you want 5 stars of fun without any stuffiness, it’s one of the best options on our list.
The on-site infinity pool is one of the best I’ve ever seen… and the spacious rooms have good views (some of the city, some of the bay).
Again, the private beach isn’t great for swimming—it’s pretty small and rocky, and it’s hardly the most impressive place in the world. But it’s pretty and peaceful regardless… which is always a welcome perk in a place like Pattaya.
- Best for: Younger couples
- Location: Just past the northern tip of Pattaya Beach
- Stars: 5
- Price range: $$$
- Airport shuttle? Yes
- Pet-friendly? No
- Spa? Yes
- Jacuzzi? No
- Pool(s)? Yes
🗨️ Guest review: “Fantastic hotel with great breakfast spread at a restaurant with unbelievably beautiful view. The two common infinity pools were incredibly beautiful, especially with the sun setting in the backdrop of the sea. The room is designed to ensure plenty of storage for luggage and the bathroom is exactly what you’d expect from a hotel of this quality. View from the room was also stunning as we could see all of Pattaya and the long Pattaya beach.” — Manish, United Kingdom

5. Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort
Just north of Cape Dara Resort, this is one of the most well-known hotels in Pattaya with a private beach—and the private sands here are big and wide, with plenty of space.
Other perks of the hotel include an excellent buffet breakfast, fancy spa facilities, great balcony-side views, peaceful pockets, friendly staff, and spacious rooms.
It’s also a great spot for families, with loads of kid-friendly fun. You get a little beachfront water park, big swimming pools, family-friendly poolside food, a playground, kids’ club, loads of no-fuss foods, and family suites. Sadly, lots of the family perks come at an extra fee.

6. Pullman Pattaya Hotel G
The Pullman Pattaya is very close to the Centara Grand Mirage. It’s not quite as modern or impressive as its nearby neighbor… but it’s a little more affordable, and it sits right on a clean, wide, swim-worthy sandy private beach.
Some of its other most-luxurious pluses include on-site massages, painting and yoga classes, and spa treatments.
The rooms are a little small and basic for a luxury hotel, but the beds are comfortable, and the entire hotel is super clean and tidy. The on-site gym is pretty good, and there are some eating areas overlooking the sea.
Overall, this is a good much-better-than-basic choice if you don’t want to splash too much cash. In terms of value for money, it’s brilliant.

7. Asia Pattaya Hotel
Close to the Pullman, this is one of the least-luxurious places we’ve featured. It’s not as modern as most, but it’s outrageously affordable—you’re not gonna find a better cheap hotel in Pattaya with a private beach.
And considering how low-cost the place is, it has some surprising plus-points. They include tennis courts, a nice outdoor pool, and a private golf course (though it’s not on-site).
The private beach is wide and popular, and it’s a good spot for both swimming and sunbathing. It gets a bit busy, but never obnoxiously so.
Other high points include comfy beds, a pool table, on-site eateries (the cafe is 24/7), an in-pool bar, and tours and trips.
- Best for: Anyone who wants a decent hotel on a very-low budget
- Location: South Pattaya
- Stars: 4
- Price range: $
- Airport shuttle? Yes
- Pet-friendly? No

🗨️ Guest review: “Great place, loved the facilities at the property, pool was great so was the outside area. Having a private beach was a bonus, loved it.” — Sushant, New Zealand

8. Xanadu Beach Resort
Here’s something a bit different—and if you’re looking for proper seclusion and solitude, you’ll love it.
Okay, this isn’t quite as luxurious as some other places we’ve featured. But… and here’s the big part… Xanadu Beach Resort isn’t actually in Pattaya. Instead, it sits on Koh Larn, a lovely little island just a 30-minute ferry ride from the city.
So the private beach is super quiet, super peaceful, and surprisingly big.
Other perks include comfortable clean rooms, occasional on-site entertainment, free shuttles to both the town and the pier, and (of course!) close proximity to all the adventure and excitement of the island. I recommend hiring bicycles, and spending one day riding around the entirety of the place.
- Best for: Couples seeking an island break
- Location: On the island of Koh Larn
- Stars: 3

- Airport shuttle? No
- Pet-friendly? No

9. Veranda Residence by VS
Quick detour, before we get to the bulk of this section: around 2 miles (3.5km) south of Pattaya’s Walking Street, you’ll find Jomtien. If you want to be close to Pattaya, but in a much more relaxed, laid-back location, Jomtien is usually the natural choice.
It’s full of expats, cut-price condos, underrated beaches, and chilled-out bars and restaurants.
Sadly (for you), there aren’t many hotels with private beaches in this part of Pattaya. If that’s what you’re looking for, the Veranda Residence is the best you’ll get. Though it’s not actually a hotel, it’s a bunch of small-but-nice condominiums, with good views, clean facilities, and friendly staff.
In truth, the ‘private beach’ here is just a thin stretch of sun-lounger-bedecked sand leading onto the main beach. But it’s peaceful, pretty and quiet…. And Jomtien’s beaches never get outrageously busy anyway.
Overall, this place is a pretty good Jomtien option—but it’s pricier than you might expect.
- Best for: Solo travelers who want to stay in Jomtien
- Location: Jomtien
- Stars: N/A
- Price range: $$
- Airport shuttle? Yes
- Pet-friendly? No
- Spa? No
- Jacuzzi? No
- Pool(s)? Yes
🗨️ Guest review: “It is a beach front condominium with a fantastic pool at beach front. The room is idea for family trip with great sea view. Location is close to local famous seafood restaurants.” — Sin, Malaysia

10. Ravindra Beach Resort & Spa
For the Ravindra Beach Resort, we’re heading pretty far south. This place lies beyond the central part of Jomtien, and close to Bang Sare.
(… and as you’ll come to find out, there are lots of hotels with private beaches in this part of Pattaya…).
Anyway, this hotel is one of my favorites on our list. Elegant and upmarket without any pretense, you get shaded-by-trees spots, a lovely clean pool area, big balconies, tidy rooms, tasty breakfasts, a quiet atmosphere, and a wide range of spa treatments. It’s a low-rise rural place, rather than a typical high-rise hotel.
And as a nice bonus, the private beach is big and peaceful.
The only real drawback here is the 8.5-mile (14km) distance from the center of Pattaya. But you can easily jump on public transport, or in a cheap taxi… and there’s lots of food and drink in this part of town anyway.
- Best for: Couples who want a quiet retreat—or people who want lots of spa stuff
- Location: Between Bang Sare and central Jomtien
- Stars: 4
- Price range: $$$
- Airport shuttle? Yes
- Pet-friendly? No
- Spa? Yes
- Jacuzzi? No
- Pool(s)? Yes
🗨️ Guest review: “My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our two day visit here. You won’t regreat staying here one bit. The grounds are excellently kept and the structure and garden is fantastic. Whatever we asked for was first rate. Staff were quick and couteous. This is worth every penny.” — Ubol, United States
11. Mövenpick Siam Hotel Na Jomtien Pattaya
Really close to the Ravindra, the Mövenpick also sits between central Jomtien and Bang Sare.
It’s slightly more of a ‘normal’ hotel than its nearby neighbor, and it’s a bit more luxurious. The swimming pool is big, all rooms have sea views, the whole place is spacious, and the beds are super comfortable. You also get a huge range of spa and massage options.
It’s another good option for anyone with kids. You get a kids’ club, a family-friendly atmosphere, toys, and a splash pool—and all restaurants are family-friendly, with welcoming atmospheres and fuss-free menus. They even offer a daily chocolate hour, with one hour of free chocolate.
And, again, the private beach here is big, swimmable, and right beside the hotel.
- Best for: Couples with young kids who are hunting for some luxury
- Location: Between Bang Sare and central Jomtien
- Stars: 5
- Price range: $$$
- Airport shuttle? Yes
- Pet-friendly? No
- Spa? Yes
- Jacuzzi? No
- Pool(s)? Yes
🗨️ Guest review: “The ocean view from my 33rd floor room was amazing. Room was large with a very comfortable bed and I love the giant bathtub. Also the western restaurant T55 serves amazing food, especially the steaks. Breakfast was good too, with it’s egg station and buffet spread.” — Erica, Singapore
12. Renaissance Pattaya Resort & Spa
A third option in the same Jomtien/Bang Sare area, the Renaissance Resort is hyper-modern, hyper-sleek, and hyper-welcoming.
Arty and unique, it’s full of flair and frills. You get an infinity pool (sitting between hotel buildings, and with an in-pool bar), one of the best breakfasts on our list, poolside couples’ loungers, some great family-friendly eats and entertainment, a huge range of wellness packages, and a wide selection of on-site food.
All that said, we have a little slice of bad news: the beach here isn’t actually private. But it has private staircase-based access… and it’s so quiet that it’s pretty much private anyway. You won’t see many people here—and any you do see will probably be hotel residents.
It’s pretty pricey, but it’s worth it.
- Best for: Young couples who like modern designs
- Location: Between Bang Sare and central Jomtien
- Stars: 5
- Price range: $$$
- Airport shuttle? Yes
- Pet-friendly? Yes
- Spa? Yes
- Jacuzzi? No
- Pool(s)? Yes
🗨️ Guest review: “The hotel is beautiful! I loved the pools and decor. Drink/Cocktail prices were reasonable. Breakfast was amazing! The staff were attentive, helpful and made the experience so much more fabulous! I miss being there already!” — Tiffany, Hong Kong
13. Mason
Last up, a pretty unusual option.
Again, it sits between Jomtien and Ban Sare (yep, there are lots of hotels with private beaches in this part of Pattaya).
But while the others are all pretty standard hotels, Mason is essentially a collection of glass-fronted beachside mega-pods.
On-site perks include bug spray, free home-made ice cream, massive bathtubs, on-site activities (including kayaking and jet-skiing), and private booths for romantic poolside dining.
If you want mega relaxing, you won’t find better than this. It’s way way pricier than every other entry on our list… but if you really want to treat yourself, it’s definitely something special.
Again, the ‘private beach’ here is really just private access to a quiet beach. But it’s peaceful and serene regardless.
- Best for: Couples and honeymooners with money
- Location: Between Bang Sare and central Jomtien
- Stars: 5
- Price range: $$$$
